Safety Attendant

General Requirements: Work requires professional written and verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Bilingual abilities in Spanish is preferred but not required. Ability to motivate members of the organization to recognize unsafe work practices and to adopt a safety conscious attitude in all work procedures. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. Above all must be a team player with a high level of dedication.

Quality Requirements: Must have a general working knowledge of OSHA requirements, basic first aid and CPR is a plus. Must have 1-2 years safety experience.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday; sit to perform normal office duties for up to 90% of the workday, occasional bending, squatting, ascending ladders/stairways, and occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.

Essential Duties: Adheres to safety measures, confined space entry, permit writing, emergency response assistance, organizes supplies and equipment. The employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
