We are searching for a new Safety Attendant to join our Behavioral Health Team in a PRN, as needed, position. Both day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shift positions are available.
The Safety Attendant provides direct patient care under the direction of the licensed nurse according to patient's plan of care. A key and critical component of this position is Patient Safety, with continuous diligence in ensuring the patient is protected from injury to self or others (fall risk, protection of life-sustaining lines and tubes, etc.). Protection of Patient Rights is expected at all times, including privacy and confidentiality.
Patient care includes but is not limited to: meeting the patient's hygiene, nutritional (feeding), and mobility needs, assistance with ADL's, assistance with toileting, recording of intake and output, and meeting all Service Excellence expectations. He/she functions as a member of the patient care team, providing care that is specific to the patient's age, growth and level of development from the adolescent, the young adult, the older adult, through the geriatric patient while demonstrating a caring, compassionate approach to patients/families through tone of voice, effective listening skills and sensitivity to their individual needs and remaining with patient unless relieved by staff member, relief safety attendant, or family member.

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Licensure/Certifications: BLS and CNA are required.
Experience: Sitter and/or patient care experience is preferred.
