Position: Safety Administrator

Location: Channelview, TX or Dallas, Texas

Company Overview: Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service (CBSS) is currently seeking a Safety Administrator based in Channelview or Dallas, Texas. At CBSS, we prioritize proactive communication and teamwork to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Responsibilities: The Safety Administrator plays a crucial role in safeguarding the interests of the company at all times. Reporting directly to our Safety Manager, the Safety Administrator's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researching, developing, and implementing programs to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, safeguarding the well-being of CB employees, contractors, and customers.

  • Maintaining satisfactory ratings in all safety support systems such as ISN and Avetta.

  • Assisting with DISA requirements and random programs.

  • Providing data and supporting responses to data requests from regulatory agencies and customers.

  • Facilitating safety boot and prescription eyeglasses programs.

  • Help to develop and maintain safety training matrix.

  • Coordinate site specific safety training and maintain safety councils memberships

  • Working independently to plan and execute work schedules to meet safety goals.

  • Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

  • Updating and communicating programs and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, systems, and procedures to ensure overall safety and health.

  • Supporting DOT record-keeping duties for assigned areas, locations, and routes.

  • Maintaining and filing DOT records, auditing documents for accuracy, and generating forecast reports for upcoming needs.

  • Performing any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of previous administration experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prepare reports and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Self-starter with the ability to collaborate effectively with personnel, management, regulatory agencies, and customers.

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of statistics, data collection, and analysis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work requires regular speed and accuracy operating office equipment. Work requires a considerable variety of fairly steady active physical exertion.

Working Conditions and Hazards

  • Typically office conditions. From time to time, some plant, shop, or field exposure will occur and may offer slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure.
