You Are:

A SAFe Program Coach who embodies an Agile mindset and is passionate about empowering an Agile culture. You have experience coaching, guiding, and supporting executives, managers, product owners, Scrum Masters, and others-mainly on the client side but also within Accenture. Your superpower? Using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to help companies apply Lean principles and practices so they can boost performance, accelerate business change, and drive disruption. You do it by challenging the status quo to promote an environment and culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and innovation. And you lead by example with your top-notch listening, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.

The Work:

  • Advise organizations through their Lean-Agile transformation, using scaling frameworks and identifying and optimizing value streams

  • Work with senior leaders to define strategies and roadmaps for transitioning to Lean-Agile mindsets and practices using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Lead coaching activities, mainly in SAFe, across functional areas

  • Lead workshops and training sessions to educate people on Agile values, principles, and practices, especially as these relate to SAFe

  • Mentor and pair with change agents and stakeholders in client organizations to help them become Lean-Agile champions and build lasting Agile skills

  • Coach and mentor more junior Accenture|SolutionsIQ team members on how to influence organizational change and remove barriers to transformation

  • Support sales activities by helping create/present proposals and taking part in onsite visits to prospective clients

Our clients are some of the world's leading companies and the candidate will be a part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs. The Agile Program Coach will lead the implementation of agile and DevOps principles and best practices using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The candidate must have experience in life sciences and pharmaceuticals and have experience coaching teams that are working in a federated environment with integrated compliance and testing regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: The Agile Program Coach is responsible for the planning, execution, and enablement of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and delivery teams in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. Must have experience launching and coaching agile teams in a Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical organization. The Agile Program Coach will manage and coach a team of teams to balance product management, release management, agile practices, increment planning, and helping the enterprise in achieving overall agility objectives. Must have knowledge and hands-on experience in coaching teams in federated solutions and incorporating independent quality requirements into agile solution delivery. This coach will coordinate program needs and collaborate with portfolio and leadership team to plan product MVPs, program capacity and solution delivery roadmaps. Other duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to: * Lead the planning for agile transformation and coaching activities, including developing a coaching roadmap that enables the program to achieve desired objectives. * Assess and measure agility growth on a regular basis and facilitate growth plans for program teams. * Facilitate program planning activities. * Foster a continuous improvement culture by facilitating retrospectives and Inspect and Adapt workshops and built improvement roadmaps. * Assist program personnel in applying and adapting agile processes throughout the programs, identify and report risks and issues that constrain programs and agile teams from effectively and quickly delivering business value, and lead coaching meetings. * Work as a liaison among project stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements. * Work with technical consultant resources to prioritize non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security and usability * Develop and continually refine the best-practice skills necessary to lead on-site operational assessments Requirements Minimum Qualifications/Experience: * SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) with experience launching at least 5 Agile Release Trains (ARTs) * Demonstrated success as a Agile Program Coach, showing a track record of delivering large, complex (multi-disciplinary) projects/programs within budget and on schedule * Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing senior leadership * Experience guiding organizations through agile transformation challenges using Scrum, Kanban and SAFe * Experience working with Executives on strategy and building the Portfolio Canvas * Able to define Operational and Development Value Streams * Experience setting up Lean Portfolio Management (Lean Governance, Portfolio Operations, Lean Budgeting) * Experience working with Jira project management software * Experience in leadership coaching, organizational transformation, and Agile practices at the teams (Program and below) and at the enterprise level * Experience as a hands-on organizational change agent working across multiple teams and organizational boundaries * Experience assisting leadership and team members with removing barriers and embracing transformation by assisting each organization to customize its own path, approach and solutions to becoming Agile * Experience launching agile teams and Agile Release Trains, building a Continuous Delivery Pipeline with DevOps culture, and empowering a Lean Portfolio * Experience supporting and executing PI Planning events and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) * Experience helping agile teams implement agile technical practices and continuous integration continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines * Experience identifying, mitigating and managing project risks and issues * Experience assisting in the development of project plans, responding to requests for information, and developing and presenting briefings on project status to program leadership Minimum Education: * Bachelor's Degree - Required Required Certifications: * SAFe SPC or RTE certification - Required * Scrum Certifications - Strongly Preferred Genesis Consulting Group New York NY
