Strong-Bridge Envision (an HCL Technologies company) is seeking an experienced SAFe Agile Coach to join our firm as a dedicated full-time employee. This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia; relocation is not provided.

The ideal candidate must have experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) implementations driving teams through a flow-based system to quickly develop and release high-quality business capabilities. This position will coach and advise clients leadership on how to build high performing teams with technical agility to build and deliver components and solutions within the context of an Agile Release Train (ART). The candidate must be able to coach the SAFe Frame PI Planning (Big Room Planning) for the entire corporation and be responsible for working with Program and Product Managers to achieve the overall Agile goals of the organization.


  • Work as part of our onsite engagement and leadership providing input to implementation strategy and solution strategy across the account team for Team, level needs.

  • Develop teams, focusing on cultural decision-making framework and empowering them as agility transformation agents

  • With the Agile Enterprise Coach and the Program Coach, manage and optimize the flow of value from Strategy to Portfolio Management prioritization through Customer Journey Maps, Architectural Vision, and Epic creation to Program level prioritized objectives to Team User Story Delivery Execution.

  • Instills the discipline within the Agile teams to commit to small batches of work, reducing feedback cycles, and adjusting to changing needs

  • Provides role specific coaching for the Dev Team, Scrum Master, and Product Owner roles.

  • Guides to team to organizes around a common goal and creates a shared understanding of what needs to be built, the relative value, and prioritization.

  • Coaches in a Lean-Agile Process SAFe Agile teams typically employ a blend of Agile methods, including Scrum and Kanban.

  • Advises on key Iteration Scrum practices, teaching teams how to break work into small user Story backlogs Plan the work for the upcoming iteration

  • Guides cadence and synchronization at the Team Level to improve effectiveness of progress towards the iteration goals in daily stand-up meetings and the ability to demonstrate a working system at the end of the iteration.

  • Evaluates teams and recommends development plans for the skills necessary to complete work on a feature or component.

  • Working with the Program Coach, provides team level coaching within ART for integrated planning, demo, deployment, releasing, and learning opportunities.

  • Promotes Agile Software Engineering principles and practices teams use to deliver solutions quickly and reliably.

  • Guides Lean-Agile values and principles and eXtreme Programming (XP) practices and agile modeling approaches for software design.

  • Advises on how tests are defined for code changes (Test-Driven Development (TDD) ), Story acceptance criteria (Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)), and Feature benefit hypothesis (Lean-UX[4]) to build in quality . Escalate and track impediments. Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks

  • Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos. Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them progress

  • Develop and deliver program level workshops in support of their development as Lean-Agile Leaders

  • Foster Lean Agile Center of Excellence and Agile PMO within organization

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 + years of experience leading Agile Transformation efforts advising clients on developing SAFe implementation roadmaps (setup/execution/post-support coaching) partnering and advising Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Development Teams on the ground during all phases of adoption.

  • 7-10 years experience in industry roles with business and technology moving towards features-based and customer-experience based development

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science required. Preferred degree in business, technology, or information systems

  • SPC (SAFe Program Consultant) certification is required

  • Change Management and adoption strategy experience for Agile Transformation is preferred

  • Demonstrated experience at driving Agile transformations from design to implementation

  • Proven ability to lead large scale workshop style events

  • Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience desired, specializing in Agile de and digital transformation

  • Preferred experience working with and understanding both business and IT

  • Ability to work across varying levels of an organization

  • Experience and knowledge delivering solutions using Agile methodologies

  • Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience with either a Big 4 Consulting firm or a more specialized boutique consulting firms specializing in digital transformation

  • Ability to work permanently in the U.S. on a full-time basis
