Look no further! The Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support HR Coordinator position is for YOU!
Primary duties include
Prepare and maintain employment records for actions such as hiring, terminations, leave, transfers, or promotions as part of the centralized services team for Student Affairs.
Hire students and process actions for the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support.
Participate in the student hiring team to support division student hiring and training.
Assist with human resources operations for the Division of Student Affairs by performing HR actions and monitoring the HR ticketing system.
Collaborate with units to execute HR functions in PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleAdmin, including position description updates, hire above minimum requests, job postings, temporary salary adjustments, bonuses, pay for performances, reappointments, hires, and completing I-9s.
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Provide assistance to employees with HR-related inquiries.
Assist in maintaining HR databases and generating reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience including human resources experience, specifically with hiring/on-boarding/termination paperwork, recruitment, and payroll. Excellent customer service skills, supervisory experience, staff training coordination, and organizational and administrative skills. Ability to use database management programs, Microsoft Office, and electronic mail.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of USC policies, procedures, and human resource systems preferred. Understanding of PeopleSoft and PeopleAdmin.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Develop and coordinate all aspects of dual employment for the Division of Student Affairs. Participate in recruitment, hiring and onboarding, termination paperwork, and timely submission of all required documentation. Works closely with departmental leadership and staff to provide guidance and assistance for dual employment, student hiring and problem solving issues.

Monitor the HR ticketing system and work with units to execute HR actions in PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleAdmin including but not limited to position description updates, hiring proposals, job postings, temporary salary adjustments, separations, bonuses, pay for performances, etc.
Reviews human resource (HR) actions for compliance with University policies and procedures and Division of Student Affairs & Academic Support processes, escalating any potential concerns.
Work with Central HR Student Employment Team to oversee and administer policies and procedures related to student hiring to streamline processes and and ensure appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty
Hire students in PeopleSoft HCM. Initiate and track process of required background checks. Receive, analyze, and enter employment eligibility (Form I-9 and E-Verify) data to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Communicate with students and supervisors. Work as part of the student employment team to support the recruitment and hiring of student employees across various departments within SAAS. Ensure student hires complete all necessary paperwork and comply with hiring policies.
As a team, develop and implement an effective onboarding process for new student employees. Assist with training, developing, and facilitating the division student hiring training.

Develop and maintain liaison relationships with division units, ensure quality customer service through the support of the department's HR efforts.
