Job Responsibilities

With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303

Leads an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team providing evidence-based services in an intensive non - residential treatment and rehabilitative services in accordance with the fidelity model.

Responsibilities of the Mental Health Professional I include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees the administrative operations of the team.

  • Provides clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs.

  • Provides direct service services to ACT services to ACT service beneficiaries.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:

A master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.

Must be licensed as LISW-CP, LPC or LMFT as well as have supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental health.

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
