With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, serves as Supervisor to the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) staff and for the program within SAMHC (Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties). Works collaboratively in the community to secure competitive employment opportunities for SAMHC patients. Assists patients in securing and maintaining competitive employment. Ensures good program outcomes by providing training, supervision, and by working side-by-side with employment specialists (field mentoring). Attempts to most people receive IPS services. Monitors outcomes and implements quality improvement plans.
Serves as Supervisor for the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) program at Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center.
Acts as the resource coordinator for Adult Services department, linking patients with identified needs to community resources in order to promote stabilization.
Manages an IPS caseload maintaining all medical records in accordance with DMH and SAMHC standards.
Acts as liaison to other department coordinators and administrators at the agency.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in mental health, human service or social service program.

Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
