Shift Leader Duties to include but not limited to the following certifications and qualifications:

  • 2nd & 3rd shift to cover the bulk of unloading & loading outbounds

  • Must be available for quick response by cell phone throughout the shift

  • Review Daily Pick Up Sheets submitted by Lance to direct the loading priority

  • Review customer requirement lists to assure loading is in line with customer expectations.

  • Load, Confirm, and Move Out orders as they depart

  • Daily average of shipment management include 15 per day inbound and 19 per day outbound customer loads

  • Feedback late order issues (carrier did not PU, etc) or inbound outsource vendor issues.

  • Print Kohler Barcode Labels for Units as orders are confirmed

  • Schedule inbound dock times for outsource vendors

  • Print Load Tags in FFF from the 106 machine for inbound non-Witron outsource vendors and send initialed receipt copies to

  • accounting to receive into SAP.

  • Scan in sister Witron plant outsource vendor receipts and send initialed receipt copies to accounting to receive into SAP.

  • Feedback of receipt corrections to customer service and accounting (send marked up BOL) to prompt credit requests from sister

  • plant and outsource vendor inbounds.

  • Inspect units for damage on inbound and outbound based on customer specific standards and adjust Witron accordingly

  • Process manual Adhoc BOL for Rivergate & Itnolap shipments out of the warehouse

  • Management of FIFO to reduce aged units on hand

  • Feedback Internal Investigations of customer complaints and issues tracked through TICS as assigned to shift leads to research

  • Maintain outside mailbox/message board to notify after hour drivers of shipment numbers and related trailers

  • Properly tag out a fork lift for service.

  • Complete fork lift and clamp truck certification.

  • Complete the powered industrial truck inspection.

  • Read kiwi and F.F.F. run list for the corrugator and converting machines.

  • Properly stack stock in the shipping warehouse.

  • Properly load trailers safely and uniformly.

  • *Complete cleanup using the cleanup checklist.

  • Know quality expectations for units loaded onto trailers or put on the floor.

  • Properly dispose of waste.

  • Properly scan units and know what to do with them using the VMU

  • Know procedure for changing a propane tank.

  • Ability to plan and load Warehouse shipments in CPMS

  • Ability to cut bills for drivers requesting specific shipment numbers in CPMS

  • Ability to Train and certify incoming forklift operators

  • Must possess a good knowledge of inventory on floor to load customer orders

  • Able to lead crew on the off shifts and ensure production is met

  • Ability to make sound decisions concerning customer expectations on the fly to ensure timely and quality deliveries

  • Able to dispatch drivers to utilize full hours of service
