Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303
Under limited supervision of the Adult Services Director or Clinic Director, employee will perform direct clinical services (individual, family, and group therapy) within an outpatient clinic setting. Increase collaborative efforts between SAMHC and Community organizations involving all in the implementation process. Will assist in providing emergency coverage for a walk-in emergency as well as intake for new patients as needed. Provides services in a culturally sensitive manner.
Provides Assessment, Individual, Group, and Family therapy services, as well as intake and ongoing assessment to designated population.
Monitors benchmarks regarding documentation and billing as stated by CMHC standards.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minium Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or related field.
Agency Minium Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or related field.
Licensure is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
