Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303
Under limited supervision, performs a variety of duties involved in vacation and sick leave coverage for the support staff. Provides lunch and break relief when necessary. This employee must take initiative to learn job duties and recognize when assistance is necessary. Must be willing to contribute wherever and wherever as necessary. All duties are handled in a culturally sensitive manner. Follows all SAMHC and DoFs policies and procedures.
Serves as primary backup for all receptionist windows, switchboard, and Continuity Care Secretary.
Assist with verifying cash drawers daily and completing daily deposits and transmittals.
Assists with writing of appointment letters, follow-up letters, verifying Medicaid eligibility, and scanning client information into EMR.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
Agency Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
