Elementary Teacher (primary grades)- Rutland Town School

Rutland Town School is seeking an anticipated 1.0 FTE, Elementary Teacher (primary grades) to begin August 2024. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes;

Knowledge of elementary research based best practices
Knowledge of effective literacy practices, including knowledge of the Orton-Gillingham approach for elementary students
Knowledge of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards
Evidence of integrating technology into the learning environment
Experience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning Community
Knowledge of proficiency based reporting
Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction
Evidence of strong connection with students and families
Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
Strong communication skills as evidenced through a quality application
Ongoing educational training
The belief that educators ensure learning at a high level for every child

Rutland Town School is a PreK-8 school of 355 students.
