Rural Digital Literacy Resource Navigator- Moses Lake
As a Washington Service Corps member, you would commit to a 10.5 month term of service where you would be increasing community impact and providing an essential service to our community. WorkSource Central Basin in Moses Lake is looking for a Rural Technology and Digital Navigator to work with individuals to provide outreach in Grant and Adams Counties providing assistance with computer basics, internet, social media and basic technical skills in order to navigate in a digital world.
Starting in July of 2021 we will be conducting interviews to seek AmeriCorps members to be placed in our WorkSource Central Basin Center. The AmeriCorps member will work with local libraries, schools and service providers and provide computer workshops, and engage customers in our local community how to navigate with a computer. We start at the basics from having no computer knowledge, to using the internet and setting up job search accounts to submit their resume and apply for jobs.
All of these factors of poverty, access to technology and being a distressed community has caused a significant digital divide that is addressed in having an AmeriCorps member to support the technical needs of our customers. If you want to make a real difference in people's lives this is the position to make that positive impact. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
