Shift : 3rdShift 11pm-7am
Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of the rubber associates by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interpreting company policies to associates and enforcing safety regulations.
Leader in the production area and company safety process.
Assist Rubber Manager by preparing work schedules, associates time, vacation request, periodic and yearly reviews
Assist Rubber Manager in managing to meet, or beat, the departments budget
Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities in meeting department goals
Recommending and implementing agreed upon measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department, work crew, and equipment performance
Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.
Conferring with other Supervisors and Shift Leads to coordinate activities of individual departments and serving internal customers
Ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged, managing cycle counts and reconciliation activities
All other task as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Rubber Manufacturing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Associate degree with 1 year supervision experience or,
High School Diploma / GED, with 5 years supervision experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Well rounded in decision making skills.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP knowledge is a plus. Also should have knowledge of general business computer software and an aptitude to learn new software applications.
