Assists with setting up case files, filing, and data entry; may assist counselors by contacting clients and scheduling appointments; plays a critical role in communicating with vendors and providers regarding obtaining medical records and invoices as well as clarifying billing questions. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work, preferably in rehabilitation or a medical-related field. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency; Proficiency in operation of personal computers to include word processing and Excel spreadsheets as well as the ability to use spell check.
Special Qualifications: Duties include a considerable volume of filing for annual purge as well as daily filing duties which involve a significant amount of stooping, squatting and bending to ground level as well as reaching high shelves; Tasks such as physical distribution of files, mail, and documents are necessary.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements:
Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF. Must maintain security clearance throughout employment.
