Eastside Medical Center has been a healthcare leader for more than 39 years providing quality care to patients in Gwinnett and surrounding counties. Eastside is a 310-bed, multi-campus system of care offering comprehensive medical and surgical programs including cardiovascular, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, robotic surgery, rehabilitation, maternity with neonatal intensive care, behavioral health, bariatric, urgent care, and 24-hour emergency care at two locations.

Eastside Medical Center is currently looking for a Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Shift: PRN / On Call / As Needed, Night Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as integral part of the code team and the rapid response team.

  • Performs all routine respiratory therapy and oxygen administration.

  • Assesses for appropriateness of respiratory care.

  • Sets-up, maintains, monitors, and adjusts ventilator parameters.

  • Draws arterial blood gases (ABGs).

  • Reports values of ABGs and takes corrective actions based on results.

  • Performs quality controls on ABG machines.

  • Participates in new hire orientation and student rotations.

  • Graduate of an approved (A.M.A) Respiratory Therapy Program - required

  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) registry - required

  • RRT credentials - required

  • Current Georgia RT licensure - required

  • BLS - American Heart Association - required upon hire

  • ACLS - American Heart Association - required upon hire

  • NRP preferred

  • Computer, communication, and math skills
