Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, under the supervision of a physician and by prescription. Applies the cardiopulmonary process to plan and implement the care of patient, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
Reports to: Manager of Cardiopulmonary
Equivalent from two year college or technical school, or successful completion of AARC approved Certification Program.
