BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for partnering cross functionally with various departments to develop and implement high quality, efficient and repeatable automated processes company-wide in the area of Robotic Process Automation.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specializing in technologies from leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) vendors, the IT Automation Engineer is responsible for leading and helping businesses improve the efficiency of processes and effectiveness of their services.
Follows a predetermined set of organization wide RPA standards.
Design solutions utilizing RPA tools best practices and maintain technical responsibility for project delivery.
Propose Solutions Architecture and Technical Flows for BOT development.
Identify automation blockers and enablers, as well as articulating them to the Business Partner.
Understand the risks, assumptions, and dependencies associated with the RPA Process.
Conduct RPA process assessment sessions/workshops with a wide range of audience both in a direct and virtual environment.
Involved in Full life-cycle RPA solutions, from requirements gathering, to design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of these solutions.
Analyze requirements and develop proposals of technical solutions.
Create test plans and test scenarios and assist in execution of those plans/scenarios.
Developing UiPath workflows that include documentation, error checking, logging, security, and recoverability while focusing on scalability and extensibility.
Create and maintain a library of reusable components to use across the organization.
Articulate and present the business benefits of RPA to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Work with the Product Owners and Business Analysts to execute project plans for implementation projects.
Work with the Operations team to execute deployment plans.
Participate in RPA team code reviews, as necessary.
Assists other members of the RPA Engineering team, as needed.
Maintain adequate controls and tracking process to ensure audit requirements are always fully met for all projects.
Attend training, seminars, webinars, user groups and other events as needed and approved by the IT QA Manager as part of a developmental plan to maintain knowledge of current trends and technologies.
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
SKILLS:
Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Project required.
Proficient and knowledgeable in the use of UiPath Studio with developing workflows.
Full lifecycle architecture and development experience in RPA initiatives.
Knowledgeable in providing guidance on enterprise governance and Center of Excellence framework.
Proficiency with developing UiPath workflows that include documentation, error checking, logging, security, and recoverability. Then implementing those workflows to robots.
Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with various levels of Associates, maintaining a positive customer service focus.
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.
Agile experience a plus.
Jira experience a plus.
AS/400 and JD Edwards experience is preferred.
