Job Title: Royal Court Advisor

Job Summary:
The Royal Court Advisor at Bethune-Cookman University plays a pivotal role in overseeing the royal court, which includes Miss and Mr. Bethune-Cookman University and kings and queens representing each class. This unique position combines responsibilities focused on student success and campus culture enhancement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Royal Court Oversight-
Serve as a mentor and advisor to the court members, offering guidance, support, and leadership development opportunities.
Coordinate all activities related to the royal court, including coronation ceremonies, football game attendance, wardrobe selection, conferences, university events and regular meetings with court members.
Assist in the planning and execution of events and programs involving the royal court to enhance school spirit and student engagement.
Collaboration & Programming-
Collaborate with campus departments, student organizations, and external partners to create engaging and supportive programming for the royal court.
Assist in the coordination of events that promote community building, diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
Support the integration of the royal court into campus-wide initiatives and activities to enhance their visibility and impact.
Administrative Support-
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to royal court activities.
Manage budgets allocated for royal court events in accordance with university policies.
Prepare reports and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required with three or more years of relevant work experience in the public or private sectors.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or relevant software.
Proficiency in maintaining a social media presence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of and commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive campus environment.
Proven / demonstrated skills in conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a similar role
Experience in student support services, event planning, or related areas.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Commitment to promoting student success, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position.
Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Ability to move items weighing up to 20 pounds across office or campus for various needs.
