Texas Commercial Driver's License class "B" or "A" with "P" and "S" endorsements Preferred
Three (3) years of experience in school transportation operations and administrative, preferably in a K-12 environment
Three (3) years of administrator level experience with Tyler Technology and Zonar or similar routing and GPS systems
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data and communicate effectively
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to provide transformational leadership in a start-up transportation environment
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
Proficient with MS Office, Excel and Internet resources
Ability to deliver high-value customer service, especially in stressful situations

Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information
Collaborates and communicate with a variety of personnel from other departments, districts, state agencies, and organizations relating to pupil transportation
Establishes and maintains positive customer relationships with parents, schools, and departments. Coordinates with transportation department staff, schools, and customers on protocols and resolves concerns
Manage the Transportation email address to ensure accurate and timely response
Coordinate and respond to Transportation ticket tracking issues
Compile and coordinate all state and department reports and other documents as required, including the TEA Route Services Report and Operations Report
Comply with all district policies and the Professional Code of Conduct
Coordinate projects with the Project Manager and other Transportation representatives
Work with Transportation staff to establish processes to assess needs and identify plans and procedures to improve department performance
Create and maintain a Transportation newsletter to communicate internally and externally
Evaluate all elements of transportation program on a continuing basis
Continue professional growth, formulate goals, seek feedback, apply new skills, and participate as a team member with colleagues
Coordinate with the routing leadership team to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
Work closely with the Director of Business and Operations and the team to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws
Participate in professional development opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned

Salary commensurate with education and experience
Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer Human Capital Management.
