Position Purpose:

The Shred-it Route Driver is responsible for providing industry leading levels of service to clients while taking care of all customer document destruction needs, including transporting supplies and materials, safely and in accordance with company policy and all local and federal laws. This involves loading and unloading the delivery vehicle and ensuring that all cargo is safely secured before transport.

Key Job Activities:

  • Performs onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information

  • Performs pre/post-trip checks, and driver check-in on assigned truck, prior to leaving or closing for the day. Reports maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher for follow-up

  • Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner in an effort to minimize the risk of injury and equipment damage

  • Complies with all local, state and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service. Complete and maintain DOT logs when applicable

  • Maintains a high level of security when emptying consoles and/or collection totes by ensuring all documents are retrieved and the consoles/containers are securely locked. Services accounts using a hand-held device, ensuring console/containers are barcoded, locations are up to date, and the accuracy of type and quantity of consoles/containers.

  • Manages assigned routes ensuring customers' confidential material collected and serviced in a timely and accurate manner

  • Handles and responds to all customer problems and inquiries expediently and in the best interest of both the customer and Shred-it. Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Education:

Preferred Education: in High School or Equivalent

Experience (North America & LATAM):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in driving shred/box trucks and route management

  • Current driver's license (Class D or above) with an excellent driving record

  • May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements

Payments of $500 will be paid out at 90 days and 6 months and the remaining $1000 paid out at a year. *These payments are conditional based on active employment status* More information can be provided during interview process The Route Sales Representative is a full-time position that is responsible for selling and merchandising Frito-Lay's complete line of quality products at local stores including convenience stores, gas stations, and large grocery stores. As a Route Sales Representative, you would drive a small Frito-Lay truck which requires a regular driver's license and insurance. Hours per week average approximately 50 hours and include weekend and/or holiday work in all weather conditions. Some of the more frequent *tasks* you would perform include: * Driving to assigned locations * Check-in with store decision maker, check-in delivery, obtain signatures, collect proof of delivery * Using equipment (e. g. carts, pallets, etc.) to unload products and move throughout the store * Merchandising cases from the back room to the sales floor, filling display units or shelves with products such as Doritos, Classic Lays, Tostitos, Smartfood Popcorn, etc. * Ensuring back-room inventory reaches the sales floor and organizing/maintaining back-room inventory in proper location * Rotating products and removing defective and out-of-date products and process returns and credits with receiver * Tidying up shelves and displays, knocking down boxes and disposing of any waste * Assembling and disassembling of promotional materials such as signs, banners, and cardboard displays * Ordering, scanning and logging backstock using handheld device * Safely maximizing sales and minimizing waste This is a physical job. Hours per week average 50 to 60 hours and include weekend and/or holiday work in all weather conditions.
