Overview of the Route Sales Representative

This position is responsible for the efficient delivery of bottled water and related products to a predetermined customer base on scheduled delivery days, and to provide exemplary customer service and promote customer base growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-ordered products and also to upsell our popular brands/products.

  • Efficiently manage customer base within established route with an average of 50+ stops per day.

  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle and diligently perform all duties in a safe manner.

  • Develop a relationship with and provide service and products to existing customers that insures customer retention and customer loyalty.

  • Complete service calls, resolving customer problems or complaints. Respond to customer calls on company provided cell phone in a safe and timely manner.

  • Use handheld system to key transactions and manage customer data.

  • Manage inventory and balance daily route activities.

  • Protect company assets, including collection of equipment and customer payments.

  • Identify opportunities to acquire new long-term customers to support route growth.

  • There will be an introductory training period.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience, minimum of (2) two years with a stable/steady work history.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL Class B license with proper endorsements.

  • Ability to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) driver qualification policy requirements.

  • Ability to meet ongoing federal DOT physical requirements and testing.

  • Basic computer/data entry skills and math abilities.

  • Sales experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to pass Company pre-employment physical ability test (PAT).

This person will also play a critical role in community outreach activities geared to promote the plan and generate Medicare Advantage prospects and sales. Job Description: Role and Responsibilities * Present Medicare Advantage Insurance products directly to Medicare eligible customers, complete all required documentation, and guide the member through enrollment application process * Drive sales opportunities by establishing strong relationships in the service area with key community influencers to develop outreach opportunities in they populations they serve * Meet established sales goals and related objectives that translate into the successful development of Medicare Advantage products * Report and provide feedback to management relating to leads, sales, and trends in the marketplace * Proactively enhance relationships with the Essence Healthcare provider community * Record and update all sales-related activity on leads in the lead management system on a daily basis * Maintain working knowledge and practice of all company compliance rules, all applicable departmental policy and procedures, Medicare Managed Care Regulations, the managed care industry, pertinent legislation, and the competitive environment * Position requires 80-90% travel Experience, Qualifications, and Education * Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience * Strong focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations * Proven track record of successful sales experience (preferably with Medicare or other insurance products) * Currently possesses (or able to earn) an active Texas State Health Insurance License * Strong communication and presentation skills * Ability to network and build relationships * Proven success in influencing decisions and business outcomes * Computer literacy including Microsoft Office products Lumeris is an EEO/AA employer M/F/V/D.
