Responsibilities

What do our Route Pest Technicians do?

Our Pest Control Specialists visit customers and provide a full range of services to address their pest control needs and challenges. They strive to protect people and enhance lives by maintaining a pest free environment where our clients live and work by solving complex pest issues using their knowledge and training. This involves conferring with customers and thoroughly assessing their needs to ensure that they receive the highest possible value and maximum satisfaction with our services.

  • Provide superior pest management services to our clients

  • Conduct inspections to determine the source of activity and provide written explanations and recommendations

  • Assist in sales of products and additional services to current customers

  • Stay current on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the pest control industry

  • Operate and maintain service vehicle and equipment

What do you need?

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed

  • Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulations

  • Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record search

VIEW JOBS 9/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-12-15T00:00 Pest Control * Performance of ongoing quality review of third party pest control vendor. * Perform assigned facility pest control operations inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. * Ensures that all GxP documentation, log books and inspections are performed in accordance with all applicable SOPs. * Able to perform light maintenance in support of pest control operations (fill foundation cracks, seal penetrations, caulking, etc.). * Compile and analyze pest control related data and information to understand overall success of the program. * Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed. * Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing full gowning uniform * Other tasks as assigned Safety * Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary * Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. * Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. * Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled * Practice Defensive Driving at all times * Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. Driving * Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license * (if mobile) Administrative * Update work order status in real time * Utilize CMMS systems such as Maximo for all work performed. * Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection * Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner * Attend work and safety meetings as required Other * Enters and closes work orders from Entomologist quarterly inspections. * Performs other administration duties and attends pest control meetings as needed. * Any and all other duties and tasks assigned. May be required do work weekends as needed. * Participates in quarterly inspection with Entomologist and enters work orders for deficiencies found and completes work in a timely manner. * Conducts daily walk-thrus of GxP buildings to ensure state of control of building, reports any deficiencies. * Performs Pest Control PMs in a safely manner (blowing of buildings, cleaning of Irrigation boxes, replacement of ILT bulbs, inspection of door seals in manufacturing rooms and escorting of Pest Control Techs). * Scissor Lift and Forklift Certified. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities MINIMUM REQUIRED PREFERRED Education/training High school diploma or equivalent 3rd Party Certification Years of relevant experience Have a minimum of 1- 3 years of applicable working experience with a pest control vendor or as a system owner for pest control. Skills and knowledge EXCEL , WORD, POWER POINT Proficiency a must Other abilities Able to communicate pest control requirements and processes Strong Customer Service skills Strong Interpersonal skills (KS to add) Certifications/ licenses Pest Control License as required by authority having jurisdiction Physical work requirements and work conditions a) Lifting up to 80 lbs. b) Working from heights. c) Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead. d) Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot). e) Driving for long periods of time. f) Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs. g) Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.
