Job Description:Route Driver/ Shredder

Department: Secure Records Management Systems

Reports To: Production Manager

Classification: Hourly

32 hrs. to 40 hrs./week

Availability: Monday

Friday and Saturdays as needed.

Position Summary:

Secure Records Management Services (SRMS) is a confidential document shredding company, certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID).

Our Route Drivers and Shredders are responsible for the secured transportation of confidential materials from customer location(s) to the SRMS shredding facility for destruction purposes.

Route Driver/Shredder Responsibilities:

Compilation of complete/accurate written logs and records.
Safe operation of assigned equipment including truck, fork-lift, shredding machine, etc.
Proper handling of bins containing confidential materials.
Neat and professional appearance.
Basic maintenance and cleaning of vehicle.
Beginning and end of shift written and visual inspections for assigned vehicle or machinery.

7.Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

Safe driving record (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, etc.).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the responsible operation of a box truck or similar sized, commercial vehicle.
The ability to lift 75 pounds, regularly.
The ability to pull or push wheeled containers weighing up to 300 lbs, regularly.
Experience in safe operation of commercial trucks and industrial equipment.
Familiarity with safe work practices and OSHA regulations.
Must wear a company uniform and be well groomed.
Covid vaccination required.

Successful candidate will pass a mandatory background check, drug screening, and possess a clean driving record.
