Commercial Driver's License, as per state or provincial regulations.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of route transportation experience is preferred.

The Shred-it Customer Security Representative (II) is responsible for providing industry leading levels of service to our clients while taking care of all customer document destruction needs. The integrity of every Customer Security Representative is essential to maintaining goodwill and building new bonds of trust with our clients. The Customer Security Representative is a member of the Operations team and plays an integral role as the face of Shred-it.

The Customer Security Representative(II) maintains Shred-its policies, standards, and practices and ensures adherence to Shred-it's Vision, Mission and Values.

  • CUSTOMER SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information using mobile based shredding equipment.

  • Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner in an effort to minimize the risk of injury and equipment damage.

  • Maintains a high level of security when emptying consoles by ensuring all documents are retrieved, bags are placed and the consoles are securely locked.

  • Services customer locations in a manner that least interrupts the client's business.

  • Services accounts using a hand-held device, providing customers a printed certificate of destruction upon completion of each service.

  • Operates mobile shredder to conduct on-site shredding daily.

  • Transports documents from client locations daily to be destructed offsite.

  • Maintains a clean and safe working area; especially around the baling machine.

  • Ensures that truck shredding compartment and cab is cleaned and organized at all times in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Performs mandated daily safety and maintenance checks on truck and shredder equipment.

  • Conducts daily check-in with Service Manager to review route completion and efficiencies.

  • Complies with all local, state and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service.

  • Complete and maintain DOT logs when applicable.

  • Understand and implement all Corporate and Document Management division policies and procedures that impact job responsibility.

  • Follows all safety requirements as outlined in corporate policies.

  • Maintains a responsible approach to all security and safety matters related to Shred-it operations, following the company's policies and procedures at all times and bringing the manager's attention to any areas of concern. CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles and responds to all customer problems and inquiries expediently and in the best interest of both the customer and Shred-it.

  • Develops and maintains a relationship with the account contact and decision maker to ensure contract renewals and prevent lost business.

  • Completes all necessary paperwork accurately as required by company policy.

  • Ensures that all customer containers have been serviced and are orderly and clean.

  • Maintains cleanliness of truck interior and exterior.

  • Always maintains personal appearance and truck presentation in accordance with policies. Presents the Shred-it image in appearance and actions as superior and professional.

  • Serve as a Helpful Expert in exceeding customer expectations on a regular basis.

Job Description & Requirements Job Description: Drives a Straight Truck to Customer Accounts may do merchandising and delivering product; driver controls the order; delivers on a Straight or Pup Truck * Deliver product to customers in an efficient, timely, courteous and accurate manner. * Ensure that all accounts are maintained according to the published schematics. * Secure and maintain distribution of all authorized company products. * Promote the addition and sales of new products. * Ensure sufficient route inventory levels to meet customer demands while adhering to account inventory control and company distribution procedures. * Submit all customer paperwork and deposits daily; including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports. * Maintain proper handheld records for all accounts. * Load or unload cases of product manually with hook, handcart or pallet-jack onto and off the truck. Ensure load is properly secured. Collect empty cases. * Resolve customer complaints. * Stock and/or rotate product on shelves or in cold room. * Reset product displays. * Required to either transport product across state lines, or if delivering intrastate, to haul some products that originate in other states. * Must maintain idle time to company standards * Must be able to complete assigned route within DOT time regulations. * Implement and maintain plan o gram integrity and Point of sale material where needed. * Maintain a valid Class B CDL (based on established route) and current DOT medical card. Per Company and/or DOT regulations, report any moving violations to management immediately. * Checks load security prior to travel and at each stop, making adjustments when needed. * Know and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations handbook. * Complete all daily DOT and customer paperwork including delivery tickets, pre and post trip inspections, driver logs, and vehicle service reports. * Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. * Know and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations handbook. * Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. * Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area. * Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas. * Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately. * Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED preferred; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience. * Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. * Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred. * Must be able to drive, stand, walk, kneel, lift and bend required for virtually the entire shift. Balance - pulling product, climb in and out of truck. Ability to lift and/or move up to six cases on hand truck. (Cases weigh 20 to 55 lbs.). * Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environment with moderate noise, sometimes slippery floors. Temperature range from 34-120 degrees F. * Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays. * Be able to effectively work in a team environment. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast paced environment. * Must possess and maintain a CDL Class B with Air Brake. * Must have a clean driving record. * Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
