About our program:

Our New College Graduate, Zynga Accelerator Program (ZAP) is a one-year program with two six-month rotations within Zynga game teams. The ZAP will introduce you to all aspects of our game development life cycle, from creation of new features to planning, marketing and execution.

You will grow the skills you need to become a successful Software Engineer, and help to shape the future of gaming.

During the multi-month rotation, you'll be exposed to every aspect of life at Zynga; working with multi-functional teams setting you up with knowledge, and contacts that will enable you to ramp faster and better support Zynga teams in the future.

While you figure out your passion, you will be working alongside and mentored by the most creative people in the gaming industry.

  • We will pair you with senior software engineers during your time in the ZAP;

  • Provide full access to training/workshops by our hardworking engineering leaders;

  • You'll attend a week long orientation and bootcamp to get you up to speed and working in no time.

What we are looking for:

  • Academic performance, natural curiosity, critical/analytical thinking, shown leadership capabilities, a passion for games, and a desire to build winning/lasting products

  • Completed undergraduate degree between December 2019 - June 2020

Job Summary: As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing complex web applications and backend services that enables our customers in inventory sourcing and acquisition. To be successful in the role of Lead Software Engineer, you must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced agile environment.  This position requires strong leadership, design, and communication skills to effectively work with management, team members and business contacts. You will help the business to make trade off decisions, drive the journey to a micro services architecture and build the technical strategy to drive innovation in the inventory acquisition domain. Your Role: * Architect, design, document and develop highly scalable technical solutions. * Actively participate in the project planning, sprint planning, daily scrum, and sprint review. * Improve the end to end testing strategy across products. * Identify and implement simple solutions for complex problems. * Partner with other key stakeholders in the technology area to define KPIs, improve performance and benchmark our systems. * Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise, best practices, newer frameworks, and patterns related to all technologies (Backend + Frontend) * Mentor other Software Engineers through the software development process Qualifications: * Minimum of 7 years of professional (postgraduate) development experience with any Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) such as: * C# * Java * C++ * Objective-C * BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience in lieu of education. * Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals, including data structures, OO design and common design patterns, and performance analysis. * Knowledge of software engineering best practices in all stages of development process, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and operations.
