Rosemount Measurement & Analytical, a business unit of Emerson Automation Solutions, is currently seeking a Technical Specialist within Rosemount Tank Gauging.

Rosemount is a signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of measurement instrumentation, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, and more.

Description

The Technical Specialist will provide technical support for assigned Rosemount TankRadar products. This person will need to exercise considerable judgment and make decisions which carry a great deal of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Field Service commissioning and maintenance/repair of the assigned Rosemount TankRadar and Marine products which includes troubleshooting, calibration, and failure analysis.

  • Technical phone/email support to our customers and sales representatives.

  • Coordinate and make travel arrangements with customers.

  • Give product training to customers and sales.

  • Emergency on-call duties.

  • Provide regular communication, feedback, and status updates to the Service Manager as well as service job write-up and data input for customer invoicing.

  • Provide customer satisfaction through commitment to quality and safety.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 year technical degree in Electronics (AAS, BSEE) or equivalent military experience.

  • 2 years field service OR 3 years industry (industrial/energy/oil & gas) experience.

Under supervision of the Regional Service Leader Americas, you will provide customer support for Honeywell Enraf products, assisting customers with commissioning & repair of products through both telephone and on-site assistance. You will provide technical assistance to staff and provide sales support through communications with customers. Key Responsibilities: * The Service Technician will provide on-site customer service & telephone assistance for Honeywell Enraf & third party supplied equipment including commissioning of new equipment, overhaul (PM) and repair of old equipment * Shop work requires logging in of customer's equipment, troubleshooting and repairing or exchanging. * Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers * As proficiency is demonstrated, the employee shall assist in the training of Customers both in-house and at customer sites. This training requires skills in speaking before audiences of 10-20 persons or more * After Hours Support * Reporting sales opportunities to Regional Sales Managers * Most work on-site will be conducted in marketing terminals, chemical plants, and refineries * Total travel time will vary from 10% to 80% of the time depending on sales activity * The hours for this position are normally 8:00AM to 5:00PM Central Time. During travel, hours outside of this time may be required. The employee will be compensated for the extra work * Performs other duties of a similar nature or level * Being able to travel to customer locations in the immediate area via the applicants own vehicle. For this reason, the applicant must have access to a reliable vehicle. All personal vehicle expense while on company business shall be reimbursed * Being able to travel by air as needed for domestic service calls.
