Length of Contract: Two Years (215 Days per year)
Position Requirements:
Degree in School Administration
At least five years teaching and/or administrative experience
Demonstrate a genuine concern for the learning of children
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and governmental regulations
Excellent Communication and Team Skills
Strong Organizational Skills
Such other qualifications as the Board or Superintendent deem appropriate.
Performance Responsibilities:
Coordinates and participates in the selection of personnel for employment by the corporation.
Evaluates teachers in the school according to the state's educator evaluation system.
Coordinate supervision for detention, in-school suspension, and our-of-school suspension.
Delegates responsibilities for various administrative tasks to other personnel utilizing their strengths and talents to effectively manage the school.
Assists the high school administrative team in supervision of students at curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.
Communicate and ensure student compliance with federal, state, and local laws and policies.
Manages school administrative functions (e.g. discipline, attendance, data collection) for the purpose of maintaining a positive learning environment.
Assists in planning and implementing preventive disciplinary measures through changes in programming, counseling, schedule changes, and/or behavior plans.
Assists in the planning, developing, and implementation of student behavior plans and serves as a resource to staff regarding student management issues.
Coordinates with the School Resources Officer and Probation Department on discipline issues.
Participates in the Corporation Leadership Team and other teams for the purpose of receiving information and participating in the Strategic Plan.
Participates in meetings and professional development for the purpose of sharing information or remaining current to perform job responsibilities.
Effectively communicates in formation through multiple strategies for improving the overall learning environment and culture.
Provides professional development based upon feedback and evaluations for improving instruction and the overall culture.
Provides recommendations to the corporation leadership for the purpose of making personnel, student, strategic, or facility decisions.
Coordinates and supervises the daily operation of the school's attendance program, in school suspension, detention operations and night school program.
Maintains disciplinary files. Exercises appropriate leadership in processing student behavior and attendance problems including accurate record keeping of infractions as well as communication with parents and staff.
Assist in random drug testing
Assists the principal in establishing and sustaining relationships with the business community and other youth serving organizations to foster understanding and solicit support for students and their families.
Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent
Insurance Benefits
LIFE INSURANCE: Twin Lakes School Corporation will cover the premium costs for a term life insurance policy for
coverage equal to twice the Administrator's annual salary rounded up to the next $1000.
TLSC pays 100% of this premium minus $1/year paid by the administrator.
HEALTH INSURANCE: Twin Lakes will provide the standard health insurance plan at a cost of $1.00 per year. This
plan may be an individual plan or family plan, at the Administrator's choosing. If the
Administrator chooses PPO2, $3000 will be deposited into a Health Savings Account on their
behalf.
DENTAL AND VISION INSURANCE: Twin Lakes will provide dental and vision insurance coverage under available
plans at no cost to the Administrator.
DEPENDENT LIFE is also offered to our employees. The rate for dependent life is $1.50 per month.
Coverage provided by dependent life:
Spouse: $5000
Child 6 mo. to 19 years or 25 if full-time student: $2000
Child 14 days to 6 months: $500
LONG TERM DISABILITY: Twin Lakes will provide a standard long-term disability insurance coverage for the
Administrator. TLSC pays 100% of this premium minus $1/year paid by the Administrator.
Retirement Benefits
VEBA: (Voluntary Employees' Beneficiary Association) Twin Lakes School Corporation contributes $250
annually into an individual VEBA account on behalf of each administrator at the completion of each
school year. ($350 will be contributed at the completion of the administrator's first year/$250 each year
thereafter.) (Subject to a vesting schedule)
401(a): Twin Lakes School Corporation will deposit up to 1.5% of the administrator's salary into an individual
401(a) account on a monthly basis. This is on a matching dollar for dollar basis up to 1.5% of the
Administrator's salary according to the administrator's contribution to their 403(b) account. (Subject to a
vesting schedule)
403(b): The Section 403(b) plan will include provisions for pre-tax salary reduction contributions by the Administrator
which will be matched by Twin Lakes dollar for dollar-up to 1.5% of your salary to the 401(a) account set up
on the Administrator's behalf.
TRF: Twin Lakes will contribute 9% of Administrator's salary to the Indiana Teacher's Retirement Fund.
