Room Service Order Taker - Wildflowers

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Always answers phone in a courteous, professional manner.

• Effectively take guests' orders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

• Maintains complete knowledge of all menu and beverage items; prices, ingredients, method of preparation and availability.

• Upon dispatching the order, calls the room to let them know that their order will be arriving momentarily.

• Assists Room Service Server in preparing trays and carts.

• Provides support in serving rooms as needed, ensuring that assigned station is always covered.

• Coordinates with housekeeping regarding pick up of dirty dishes. Dispatches servers to retrieve carts and trays.

• Performs a follow-up call to the guest after the food has been served and documents guest feedback in quality assurance logs.

• Maintains responsibility for entering all room service orders and transactions on the point-of-sale system. Accurately closes all checks in accordance with procedures and Manager's discretion.

• Always maintains proper cash handling procedures and internal controls. Always signs in/out cash drawer and verifies bank.

• Ensure coupons, comps, room charge, credit card, etc. are settled according to accounting policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a room service order taker or cashier preferred. Previous experience with POS system preferred.

• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills; must be able to speak and write in English.

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
