POSITION: Room Attendant/Housekeeper

REPORTS TO: Inspector, Assistant Housekeeper, & Executive Housekeeper

HOTEL/LOCATION: Shore Cliff Hotel

YOUR ROLE: As a Room Attendant/Housekeeper, you are responsible for cleaning guest rooms and other public areas in order to uphold the hotels service standards. You are a team player who is dedicated to completing all job functions while maintaining excellent customer service and positive coworker interactions. The Room Attendant/Housekeeper should enthusiastically carry out all instructions from supervisors and follow safety procedures in order to provide the most enjoyable guest experience.


  • Ensure all guests and visitors are welcomed and given responsive, friendly, and courteous service through cordial communication and a helpful demeanor.

  • Execute facility inspections continuously in assurance of the cleanliness, safety, and specifications of the property have been fulfilled and are consistently maintained.

  • Enter and prepare guest rooms for cleaning during appropriate times.

  • During cleaning, treat room and guest items with discretion and respect.

  • Make guest beds and replace linens accordingly.

  • Replenish guest room of supplies and replace bath supplies.

  • Clean the bathroom and closet.

  • Vacuum and rake the carpet.

  • Follow all security guidelines when entering and exiting room, ensuring room has been secured upon departure.

  • Promptly record or report lost items to the Executive Housekeeper, keeping an accurate log of items.

  • Clean public areas of property to ensure all guest experiences are organized and fresh.

  • Maintain and stock housekeeping carts throughout the day to uphold an efficient cleaning process.

  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures throughout the execution of tasks and responsibilities, including maintaining excellent customer service and efficient operations.

  • Follow OSHA safety rules and regulations with adherence and understanding to the specific policies and procedures.

  • Sustain the safety of the property though risk-management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security Committee and knowledge of emergency procedures.

The Bellman and Valet Attendants are all guests first impression of The Cliff's Resort and are vital to the success of the resort. Some Duties you will be expected to do: Loading and unloading luggage carts and vehicles as needed, opening and closing vehicle doors for arriving guests, must be able to work flexible hours and weekends based on occupancy, issuing valet parking tickets, performing any other job related task as directed by management. Some qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, must be able to run for extended periods of time, must have multitasking strengths, professional appearance and ability to work with people a must, excellent command of English language. Must have a clean DMV record, ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and or 50 lbs frequently and/or 20 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull objects, and must have the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. You must be 25 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle and transport hotel guests/passengers. You must be 21 years of age or older to valet and park a hotel guest's vehicle with no passengers inside. Duties: * Safely park guest's vehicles in valet lot * Loads and unloads luggage carts and vehicles as needed. * Escort guests to room, provide room tour and additional assistance as needed. * Provide recommendations for local dining and activities to guests. * Drive company vehicles throughout San Luis Obispo County, including daily airport picks ups. * Ascertain and use guests name as frequently as possible and introduce the guest by name to front office staff. * Makes manager aware of any guest's comments or complaints. * Performs any other job related task as directed by management.
