Overview Saiia Construction, a MasTec company, is currently hiring for a Heavy Equipment Operator with active A or B CDL and experience. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for, but not limited to operating heavy equipment including dump trucks and front-end loaders.

Responsibilities Rock / Articulated/Dump / Roll Off Truck Driver Operates truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, soil, rock, gravel, coal, ore, industrial byproducts, and other such materials.

Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.

Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward and backward to loosen and dump material adhering to dump bed body. May be designated according to type of material hauled, type of truck driven, and whether for on road or off-highway projects.

Front-End Loader Operator Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired or track type loader equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage, loading, or processing areas, and to load trucks.

Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader. Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material.

Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle from loading area to dump or loading area, and dumps material in stockpile or dump truck. Qualifications Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, MSHA and other related state and federal regulations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to use email, smart phone, tablet, or computer to manage company information and documents. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance standards per employee handbook.
