We are looking for Robotics Engineer to develop cutting edge robotic applications. You will work with teams in Shanghai and US Silicon Valley to integrate multiple software/hardware modules into our innovative robots.


1. Collaborate closely with roboticist, computer vision engineer, mechanical engineer, test engineer, and robots.

2. Implement, test, debug, and maintain our robotic software modules.

3. Develop advanced algorithms/techniques for industrial robots.


1 MS or Ph.D. in computer science, robotics, or related field.

2. Knowledge of industrial robotics.

3. knowledge of high DOFs dynamics and kinematics.

4. Experience with trajectory optimization, high DOFs motion planning (RRT, PRM).

5. Experience with commercial software development processes: good software hygiene regarding code documentation, unit testing, bug tracking, and version control.

6. Proficiency in C++.

7. Experience with software development on/with robotic and/or automation platforms.

8. Experience with Linux system.

9. Experience with Git.

10. Experience with CMake.

You will work very closely with mechanical and electrical engineers in a fast-paced, interdisplinary start-up team, in prototype evaluation and iteration, system integration and product development. You will also work to establish processes and develop tools and platforms for manufacturing and field service.</p><ol> <li>Provide critical analysis and characterization of robot servo control, kinematics, and dynamics</li> <li>Develop robotic algorithms and software to improve robot dynamic performance</li> <li>Facilitate mechanical and hardware development and integration of new prototypes and new products</li> <li>Improve group work-flow through tool building and teaching others</li> <li>Support and track system quality, safety, and performance as it moves from design to manufacturing</li> </ol><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ol> <li>Masters in EE or ME with experience in control aspects of mechatronic systems or PhD in control of mechatronic systems.</li> <li>Possess strong MATLAB, C/C++ programming capabilities as well as hardware, software, and mechanism integration skills</li> <li>Understand and have experience implementing standard and modern servo control systems</li> <li>Knowledge of robotic manipulator kinematics, dynamics, and control</li> <li>Excel in a high-energy team</li> <li>Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal</li> <li>Work independently while simultaneously balancing collaboration on project planning and communication</li> </ol> Flexiv Santa Clara CA
