The Key Account Manager for Logistic Solutions will be the front end sales manager for the robotics automation business with the focus in customers in the e-commerce / logistics market, it means, warehouses, distribution centers, etc. Will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing select key account strategy focusing on end users. This person will need to evaluate customer requirements, and develop and implement sales strategies designed to satisfy those requirements while ensuring profitable growth, adding value, improving performance and ensuring optimum levels of customer satisfaction.
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Account strategies: Develop and initiate sales strategies for key accounts and lead the continuous implementation of the defined strategy.
Sales targets: Create added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach (e.g. frame agreements). Ensure achievement of agreed sales targets and margins with a structured follow up and reporting process.
Customer relations: Establish, build, and maintain long-term, strategic customer relationships in order to improve the Company's opportunities for sales and profits, ensure customer satisfaction and act as the focal point for problem resolution.
Customer knowledge: Coordinate communications among customers and various business units to ensure accurate, consistent and relevant information. Communicate to the business units such information as forecasts of customer needs, resource requirements, shop loading and recommendations for value-added offerings.
Market activity: Identifies and prioritizes opportunities.
Monitors competitors' activity with each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
Marketing: Coordinates the use of internal or external resources (e.g. technical, advertising, and marketing) to increase ABBs market awareness and influence customers at all levels.
8 years of experience with robotics is a plus
Strategic and value based sales experience
Industry experience and knowledge of integrated automation systems
Experience working with customers at executive level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creative thinker with commercial focus, good technical understanding and results orientation
Robotics or warehouse automation experience preferred
Proven coaching and knowledge transfer ability
Strong facilitator and negotiator
Continuous improvement initiatives,
Demonstrate interest in learning, developing new skills and growing towards higher leadership and management roles
80% customer facetime and 4 a minimum of customer visit reports per week
