This position reports to

Field Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers.

You will also showcase your expertise by displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is: Remote # Linkedin This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Service & Digital Platform division in TX./Gulf Region.

Main stakeholders are our customers.

You will be mainly accountable for: • Performing entry level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performs analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products. • Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. • Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards. • Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future. Qualifications for the role

  • High School Diploma or GED AND 5 years of maintenance, technical support, mechanical, electrical, robotic, controls, or engineering experience. Alternately, Associate's degree in a technical field AND 3 years of maintenance, technical support, mechanical, electrical, robotic, controls, or engineering experience. Alternately, Bachelor's Degree AND 1 year of maintenance, technical support, mechanical, electrical, robotic, controls, or engineering experience

  • Minimum of 1 year electronic and mechanical skills preferred.

  • Mechanical aptitude for performing any mechanical component repair or replacement.

  • Knowledge of PLC communications and other robotic peripheral equipment is a plus

  • Formal training or equivalent experience preferred with the ability to read and understand Electrical drawings.

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
