Robotics Engineer

Actalent is seeking a Robotics Engineer near Spring Hill, TN. The Robotics Engineer is responsible for supporting new design and new launches. Work is performed in an assembly/plant activity where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting new design, build and start-up of new launch. Work is performed in an assembly/plant activity where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.

• Responsible for Project implementation/execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off and buyoff).

• Manage Robot deliveries to program timing milestones and keep the launch on schedule.

• Improve thru-put by increasing quality of products and minimizing downtime. This will be accomplished by making the Fanuc iRvision applications as efficient as possible and minimizing errors by the robots

• Support plant requests for improvements as well as operations during the launch phase (robot programming and troubleshooting). They will be using Fanuc robots as well as Fanuc iRvision.

• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with plant engineers and skill trades to solve downtime and other issues and implement new solutions for robotics and automation.

• Increase productivity and efficiency by designing and troubleshooting of electrical Robotics and vision systems.

Requirements

• Degree in related engineering field preferred

• Experience programming robots (Fanuc)

• Experience taking projects from start to finish

• Manufacturing experience - automotive experience is preferred

• Demonstrated understanding of plant floor work

• Prior work experience as a Robot Engineer in the automotive field

• Robots: Fanuc R2000i, Fanuc R1000i, Collaborative Fanuc Robots

• Fanuc Vision

Pay: Total compensation will largely vary depending on experience, but for a high-level candidate it can pay over $200,000.
