RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions provide tools for organizations facing increasing complexity in operations and business strategy. Our RPA team helps to quickly and cost-effectively address numerous value-creating opportunities while tackling the challenges that come with implementing, optimizing, and maintaining robotic process automation investments.

Afni is hiring an RPA Developer who will build digital transformation solutions. Work with the Business Enablement team to build automations that increase end user productivity, lower cost, and provide value add to Afni's service offerings. Utilize and incorporate AI and Cognitive Services to enhance RPA solutions and to create Afni Virtual Assistants.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop strategies and solutions utilizing RPA mythologies, tools, AI, and Cognitive Services.

  • Support the development of an Automation Center of Excellence to align strategic priorities using Agile (DevOps).

  • Mentors Associate Level RPA Developers.

  • Performs code reviews of Associate RPA Developers and peers.

What you will need:

  • A post high school education that is equivalent to two to three years of college (Associates degree).

  • Previous experience using RPA tools.

  • Previous experience using application development languages and tools is preferred.

  • Proficiency in the use of structured programming techniques is required.

  • Previous experience or understanding of Agile practices.

  • Previous experience or knowledge of DevOps practices.

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi task and handle shifting priorities.

  • Strong analytical and decision making skills are required.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills (negotiation, team-building, positive thinking, can-do attitude, and job flexibility).

This will include but not limited to the following: * Maintain optimum electrical and process control equipment facilities to meet the established objectives of the business * Ensure reliability of electrical, process control and MES hardware and software operation * Maintain electrical/process control hardware & software to maintain plant at high level of efficiency, safety, quality, etc. * Maintain liaisons with other departments, disciplines and facilities to provide necessary support and maintenance for optimal factory operations * Provide technical direction, training and capability building of Electrical and Control Technicians * Comply with all safety and environmental regulations (Internal & External) and applicable standards PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Factory E&A Specialist maintains the existing electrical infrastructure and automation applications. This means mastering the solution in place to be able to: * Provide automation, MES and factory support on assigned shift, including development of E&C Technicians' capabilities * Ensure alignment of the process with the final customers in production * Conduct preventive maintenance on power distribution, automation and MES * Record all electrical power distribution and automation modifications and update the appropriate drawings as per factory specifications * Ensure process instruments are properly calibrated and functional * Perform troubleshooting in case of problems and ensure the PLC, HMI and MES applications are properly maintained * Maintain industrial applications and hardware in the automation layer * Strictly adhere to PLC and HMI change management policy/procedures * Maintain the reliability and the performance of the FAS IT infrastructure and peer to peer networks * Closely coordinate with other functions, such as quality, safety, operations and production, with special emphasis on QMS, HAACP and calibration * In line with NCE, actively participate in DOR/WOR/MOR, GSTD and DMAIC activities * Develop themselves as an expert in their area of responsibility for a long-term support of the operation REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: * Associate's Degree in engineering/technology or equivalent, preferably electrical and/or automation engineering/technology REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: * 2-3 years experience * In-depth knowledge of electricity including low voltage and medium voltage installations * Good knowledge of electrical safety * Knowledge of instrumentation and process control systems * In-depth knowledge of HMIs and PLCs PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: * Experience in the field of electricity and/or automation in a manufacturing facility * Good knowledge of local electrical code and standards * Knowledge on MES (manufacturing execution systems) * Knowledge on manufacturing IT, industrial networks and applications * Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety, hygienic engineering and Quality Systems Ferrara Candy Company Bloomington IL
