Responsibilities
What you'll be challenged to do:
TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Roadway Project Manager in its Cleveland, Ohio office. The candidate will be responsible for managing local transportation projects as well as assisting in building a roadway team, developing new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background in transportation engineering and capable of leading small to medium multidiscipline transportation projects.
Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):
Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety
Assures that projects conform to the contractual agreements
Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget
Responsible for client satisfaction
Provide team leadership
Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and technicians
Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model
Assists with the implementation of the Ohio/Great Lakes East Area marketing and business development goals
Assists with writing proposals and making presentations
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Served as lead designer and/or technical reviewer on projects as required
Qualifications
What you bring to our firm:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering field required
At least 10 years of relevant experience in design and management of transportation engineering projects
Licensed OH Professional Engineer required
Strong communications skills
Project management and contract administration experience
Ability to build and lead a design team on multiple assignments
Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates
Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software
Knowledge of Microstation/Open Roads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D technology
Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications/CAD standards and estimates for Ohio DOT, Ohio Turnpike and local Northeast Ohio clients
Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
