CH2M is offering this position to work on existing and upcoming highway projects in the Denver area.
As a Senior Roadway Engineer, you will have the chance to provide design expertise in a structured team framework, contributing to the roadway design and construction of the projects. Working with other members of the team, this position includes involvement in the technical project work, as well as project delivery and project management, and the ability to communicate and coordinate with clients and stakeholders. During your time with us, you will use your understanding of data analysis and experience with technical roadway design, including experience working with Microstation and InRoads, in leading design teams on large projects to:
Manage roadway and bridge teams in all aspects of roadway design, from developing work plans and budgets, concept planning and preliminary design to final design and construction
Lead teams performing roadway geometric design, grading design, channelization layout, report writing, development of plans and specifications, and estimates & services during construction
Complete tasks as a leader of multidisciplinary project teams, working independently with minimal day to day supervision
Direct your team's work, develop & mentor junior staff, provide technical & quality guidance
Develop project scopes, work plans, schedules, and budgets and mange projects to meet required metrics
Proficient in freeway, arterial roadway, and local street design projects, including preparation of complex grading plans
Proficient in roadway design concepts including the development of horizontal and vertical alignments, templates, and corridor modeling
Have extensive experience leading teams developing plans, specifications, and estimates for major interstate, expressway, arterial streets, local streets, and trail projects
10-15 years roadway design experience on relevant projects
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited university
CO PE or ability to obtain within 6 months
Strong proficiency with MicroStation and InRoads
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other commonly employed software
Proficiency in Design Management, leading discipline teams from multiple locations, delivering projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget metrics

Have experience with utility coordination
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited university
Experience on Design-Build projects
Proficiency with AutoCad and Civil3D and GEOPAK
Experience on CDOT projects and Local Agency projects
