Roadway Design Project Manager

Job Description: A local civil engineering firm is looking to hire a Roadway Design Project Manager to deliver high-quality engineering design services for the rehabilitation, renovation, and construction of assigned projects. This role requires ensuring that all initiatives and processes align with the organization's established policies and objectives. The ideal candidate will be highly proactive, creative, and knowledgeable in traffic operations, with excellent technical writing skills. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide design and drafting services for the roadway design team during the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases of projects.

• Prepare design drawings in compliance with federal, state, and municipal standards for roads, intersections, sidewalks, multi-use paths, and more.

• Create design drawings using MicroStation, Geopak, and similar software.

• Develop construction cost estimates.

• Manage projects and interact with clients effectively. Job Requirements Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.

• Minimum 7 years of roadway design experience.

• Professional Engineer license required

• Familiarity with NCDOT and/or municipal standards.

• Required experience with NCDOT, demonstrating effective communication with municipal and county DOT officials.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Proficiency in major design-related software, including MicroStation, GeoPak, and Corridor Modeler; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
