Job Description

AECOM is looking for an experienced Roadway Design Engineer to join our Atlanta, Georgia transportation design team. As a Civil Roadway Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of roadway, highway, intersection, bicycle and pedestrian projects, utilizing and growing your technical skills and experience to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical oversight/support and serve as a task manager and lead engineer
• Design roadway geometrics
• Prepare construction plans
• Develop conceptual layouts
• Develop drainage designs
• Prepare right-of-way plans
• Develop construction staging plans
• Develop Erosion and Sedimentation control designs
• Other related design tasks
• Ability to work effectively in a team based, collaborative environment

Qualifications

Minimum

• BS Civil Engineer with 4 years or more of transportation or roadway engineering-related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred ::

• E.l.T. or Professional Engineer License
• Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads or InRoads design experience
• Experience with GDOT Roadway/highway design projects
• Familiarity with:
• AASHTO's - A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets
• GDOT' Design Policy Manual (DPM)
• GDOT Manuals and Guides

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $72,000.00 - $129,000.00.
