Performs road construction and maintenance work in one or more specialized public works programs. Work includes reconstruction/rehabilitation, surface maintenance, secondary drainage, right-of-way maintenance, or customer services programs.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

This is the first in a series of two road maintenance-related job classifications within the Maintenance job family. This classification is distinguished by performing general road maintenance work, drainage system maintenance work, mowing grass, removing brush and debris from right-of-ways and performing general traffic control at work site. This classification may require a flexible work schedule in order to meet the needs of the department.
