At Southcoast Visiting Nurses Association, Inc we acknowledge that our employees are what makes us great! # We are searching for a Registered Nurse # Med Surgical Admissions to assess and care for patients with various health problems ranging in severity. Work in cooperation with individual patients, caregivers and ancillary staff.

Advise regarding various modalities to meet patient wellness and illness needs including medication, nutrition, exercise and technical nursing treatments. Teach and support various positive self-care activities including problem solving and treatment alternatives. Hours: 40hrs (full time) Shift: Day Shift 4- 10hr shifts ###8am-6:30pm

This is a home care position and will require driving Education and/or Experience Requirements:
# Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited school is required. A Bachelor#s Degree in Nursing is preferred.

MA and RI nursing license. Minimum of one-year hospital medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience is required. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that is appropriate to the population of patients served.

Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs is preferred. Will require#driving We are searching for a Registered Nurse #Supportive Care whom Under the supervision of the Director, Supportive Care Services or designee, and within agency and department policies and procedures, assume responsibility for the primary care of assigned Hospice and Palliative Care patients and families. Assess, develop, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care to maximize the comfort and health of the Hospice and Palliative Care patient and family. Responsible for identifying patient/family needs and for providing supportive care in accordance with the attending Physician#s orders, Plan of Care and Hospice and Home Care policies and procedures Education and/or Experience Requirements: A Graduate of an NLN accredited school of Nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing is preferred. Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of MA and RI is required. #(Must have MA licensure upon hire. RI licensure must be obtained within 3 months of hire) Two years recent hospital, medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience required. Hospice # Palliative Care Certification is preferred. Certification is required once eligible. Demonstrated knowledge of I.V. pump, and central line maintenance preferred.
