ence * Required: Minimum five (5) years experience in acute clinical setting. Minimum two (2) years in infection control in a health care setting. * Essential Responsibilities * Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations. * Assists in investigating and reporting hospital-acquired infections. * Promotes system wide participation in the infection control program. * Acts as a resource for infection control questions from physicians and hospital staffs. * Collect, analyze and report infection control information and results throughout medical staff and hospital committee structures. * Assist with other Quality Improvement processes and Risk Management issues. * Coordinates Quality Improvement studies as directed. * Assists to prepare and maintain policies and procedures related to Infection Control, which insure hospitals compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies. * Presents orientation and in-service programs for hospital staff. * Serves as member of hospital committees as assigned: Safety Committee, Infection Prevention, Education Committee, P&T Committee, Valve Analysis and others as needed. * Serves as a resource to other EMC entities for infection control and related issues. * Administer immunizations to staff and/or patients, as needed. * Support the Magnet culture by coordinating nursing quality programs related to hand hygiene and other pertinent infection prevention practices. * In collaboration with Medical Director of Infectious Disease and Epidemiologist drafts the annual Infection Control Plan and Report to be approved at the Infection Control Committee. * Performs other duties as assigned.
