Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment.

The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.


Education: Graduate of Accredited School of NursingLicense, Certification and/or Registration:

Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required.BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient populatiion.

Experience: New RN graduates accepted.

Additional Skill/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.

VIEW JOBS 11/19/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-17T00:00 <p>Overview</p><p>Under the direction of the physicians and clinical staff the Health Care Assistant(HCA) supports the assigned unit by providing technical patient care services and support related to patients on the nursing unit. Additionally assists staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments with routine patient care activities and clerical support as needed. <br><br> Patient Care activities include vital signs, activities of daily living, transport, and transfer of patients to include discharge. Clerical support includes directing incoming calls and responding to patient calls, entering patient charges in the computer system, maintaining patient charts, unit files and secretarial supply levels and being responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment.</p><p>Qualifications</p><p>Education: HS/GED required.</p><p>Education preferred: Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Huntsville Hospital Health Care Assistant course preferred</p><p>License, Certification and/or Registration: BCLS is required by the conclusion of orientation.</p><p>Experience: Requires previous patient care and/or two years clerical expereience with successful work history. Comparable combinations of education and experience in both clerical positions as well as patient care aide positions will be considered.</p><p>Additional skills/abilities: Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.</p><br> Huntsville Hospital Madison AL
