JOB SUMMARY:

Performs systematic review of all observation, inpatient, outpatient surgery and swing bed patients in patient care area from (pre)admission through dismissal to assure the most efficient use of available health facilities and services while adhering to Federal and State requirements and guidelines.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years acute hospital experience in nursing and/or utilization review or management.

License/Certification:

  • RN licensure in the state of practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in a Healthcare or job related field required. 5 years of related Healthcare experience required. Registered Nurse RN PA License required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements required. Ability to review and interpret complex regulatory and accreditation standards to determine organizational applicability and impact required.
