San Marcos Treatment Center has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Texas Licensed Registered Nurse to join our team of dedicated clinical professionals providing services to short-term commercial managed care and Tricare-funded patients ages 8-18 with psychiatric, neuropsychiatric or neurodevelopmental issues and their families.

Key responsibilities include: To provide direct patient care and management of children, adolescent, and young adult patients To assure safety, supervision, and crisis management of patients To assist in the management of a therapeutic milieu To provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status To contribute to treatment plan as a member of the Treatment Team To administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by Physician To document nursing care, treatment and patient's response to treatment To maintain confidentiality of patient's medical records To attend mandatory training and in-service.

Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Current Texas State Professional Nurse License

Preferred: One year psychiatric nursing experience

Our Registered Nurses (RNs) supervise, evaluate, and provide nursing services to clients in various senior living communities, including assisted living and independent living facilities. Our facility-based RNs enjoy: * providing care to our patients within the beautiful confines of the assisted living facilities where our patients reside * 1:1 patient care * the ability to follow each patient from start to discharge Encompass RNs work collaboratively with facility wellness staff on a daily basis to ensure strong lines of communication and overall continuity of care for the residents and their loved ones. Additionally, our facility-based RNs consult as needed with the physician and the office giving details about patient care and act as the point of contact for all disciplines involved with providing care to patients.
