Position Summary

OHC is looking for a part-time weekend RN to work at our Kenwood office. The work schedule will be a half day Saturday and Sunday, along with full day Monday. Time and a half is paid for Saturday and Sunday work.

The Treatment Suite Nurse is a registered nurse who provides direct patient care related to all aspects of physician ambulatory treatment administration including assessment in response to therapy, access device management, side effect and symptom management of treatment regimen.

Responsibilities of a Treatment Suite Nurse also include:

  • Perform aseptic admixture of chemotherapeutic and other medication agents for treatment administration.

  • Provide direct patient care through patient assessment, treatment administration, access device management, side effect and symptom management and monitoring response to treatment regimen.

  • Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, clinical coordinator and the interdisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.

  • Provides teaching/education with the patient and their family to meet and support their desired outcomes as necessary.

  • Serve as a conduit for education follow up and reinforcement between the physician, APP and Nurse Navigator.

  • Performs all documentation requirements in the treatment suite including, but not limited to, medication lot numbers, patient care encounters, patient medication labeling, charge capture, incident reporting.

The ideal candidate is empathetic, highly organized, flexible and has the ability to multi-task. Requirements of the position include:

  • Associate degree or diploma required. Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university preferred.

  • Active Ohio RN License

  • One to two years' experience in oncology preferred

  • Active certification from Oncology Nursing Society in administration of Chemotherapy and Biotherapy required within six months of employment. Certification must be maintained.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Oncology Certified Nurse professional certification a plus!

VIEW JOBS 8/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-16T00:00 General Statement of Duties This senior management employee assists the Commercial Services Superintendent in the management, supervision, assignment of work, review and evaluation of division activity, as well as participates in the work of their staff responsible for Premises Services Section and Premises Support Services Section. The Premises Services Section is responsible for the inspection of new water service branches and meters, service at customer premises, issuing permits for temporary water use from fire hydrants, meter testing, and the administration of the cross-connection control program. This Section is also responsible for reading approximately 240,000 meters each month, without interruption, throughout each fiscal year. Premises Services staff perform offsite maintenance of meters, obtain scheduled and final meter readings, and turn water service on and off at customer premises due to payment issues, policy enforcement, and by customer request. Cross-Connection Control Program employees survey existing premises; inspect for possible cross-connections, and administer the annual testing program to safeguard the quality of the drinking water supply. May be called upon to serve as acting Superintendent for the Commercial Services Division. Performs related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications (KSAs) (Illustrative only. Any one position may not require all of the listed KSAs nor do the listed examples include all the KSAs which may be required.) Knowledge of: Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluations. Union contract law and related negotiations. Budget and fiscal procedures of Division. Principles and practices of management. Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations. Data analysis and large computer databases. Computer operations needed in performance of job duties. Skill to: Operate appropriate computer equipment; use properly all related hardware and software. Operate assigned vehicle in the course of duty. Ability to: Implement and maintain positive employee relations. Promote and maintain highest integrity throughout all personnel. Analyze and manage effective EEO/AA programs. Supervise, lead, and manage people with varying backgrounds and experience. Motivate and generate enthusiasm in employees. Establish/maintain effective working relationships with City officials, other GCWW managers, vendors and contractors, the general public, etc. Required Education and Experience Promotional: Each applicant must have five years of progressively responsible experience with the City of Cincinnati at the Supervisor of Water Customer Service level or above in a billing or customer service-oriented service-oriented function or budgeting/financial management function. At least two of the five years experience must be in a supervisory position with the Greater Cincinnati Water Works. Additionally, each applicant must have successfully completed a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business administration or public administration field. A Master's Degree is preferred. Open: Each applicant must have five years of experience in operating administrative functions, which include organizing and directing work programs, such as training, employee safety, employee relations, accounting, inventory management, customer service, procurement and contracting services, in a Water or Wastewater Utility, of which three years' experience must be in a supervisory or project management capacity. In addition, each applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration, Personnel, Accounting, Business Management, Communications, Information Processing, Mathematics and statistics, or a related field Other Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be an excellent communicator and team builder. May be required to work additional and irregular hours.
