Oakwood Village has an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates to join our University Woods (West Side of Madison) senior living community facility team as a Registered Nurse Supervisor. Our the Supervisor is accountable for: the leadership on the AM/PM shift; assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care and for communicating resident issues with Nurse Manager
The PM Supervisor collaborates with interdisciplinary staff and physician consultation on issues related to resident care and the quality of life for all residents.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor position is full time 60-80 hours and very flexible with scheduling This position also has potential for a job share option, if you are only intersted in part time.

Job Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse Supervisor (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)
Perform or delegate preadmission admission assessments as applicable. Assures that new residents and family are greeted and welcomed.
Ensure assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care which results in quality outcomes.
Follow-up on resident problems: communicate problem follow-up on changes in condition verbally and with documentation, to others on 24-hour report. Modifies nursing care plan as appropriate.
Monitor PM nursing care to ensure policy defined care, as regulated specific Oakwood policies and state and federal regulations.
Prepare daily/weekly assignments of all PM staff, and delegate work as appropriate (including feeding/transportation evening meal in dining room.
Inform Nurse Manager of staff concerns/issues, and discuss corrective actions with the Human Resources Department prior to discussing written, suspension or dismissal types of corrective action with the staff member.
Participate in quality improvements
Evaluate staff performance for competency by compiling team reviews.
Flexible with hours in order to carry out job responsibilities. Willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Evaluate and report to the Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing efficacy of staffing supplies and equipment.
Review outcome of quarterly reviews and share with families/staff who could not be present.
Promote cost effective behavior with staff.
Job Qualifications of a Registered Nurse Supervisor (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)
Knowledge of both the State of Wisconsin regulations and the Code of Federal regulations, preferred.
Knowledge of Medicare requirements, preferred
Ability to use independent judgment and make sound decisions, required.
Ability to communicate effectively with the residents.
Ability to work within established policies and procedures.
Ability to work in a partnership environment which fosters effective teamwork in meeting the mission of Oakwood Village.
Willingness to accept a weekend and holiday work schedule.
Job Experience/Training Required of a Registered Nurse (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)
Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Wisconsin, required.
CPR certified preferred.
Knowledgeable in geriatric care, preferred.
Three years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
Knowledgeable in a specialty area of geriatric care preferred.
