The Nursing Supervisor will manage registered nurses (RN) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) at assigned clinic sites. This role will work with management to ensure efficient systems are in place and operating appropriately, staff are properly trained, and protocols are standardized. Additionally, this role will continuously review and make process and protocol improvement recommendations to ensure compliance and development for the team. This role will supervise nursing staff at our Escondido, San Marcos, and Valley Center clinics. This role is eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manages and provides oversight for the nursing staff within assigned regions, including management of RN workflows and assignments

Works with management to provide consistent direction, training and development, and performance management, including coaching, performance appraisals, and disciplinary action, as needed
Works with management on staff schedules, timesheet administration, time off approval, and other items that impact staff availability and capacity; including replacement coverage, as needed
Ensures staff understands and compliances with legal and legislative rules, company policies and procedures, safety rules, HIPAA, and other requirements
Works with management to recommends or make decisions to hire, transfer, reward, discipline or terminate employees
Facilitates ongoing trainings and follow-ups for new hires after they complete initial training with RN Trainer, including completing new hire training check lists
Conducts period training assessments to ensure RNs are meeting their performance goals; provides additional training, as needed
Assists management with facilitating monthly RN meetings at assigned sites
Oversees the Immunization, Isoniazid, and Coumadin programs
Works with RNs to assure systems are in place, RN tasks are delegated/completed appropriately, and procedures are followed to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of services
Assists with routine audits and inspections to ensure standard are met, including Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) audits
Provides corrective action training in response to audit and inspection results, as needed
Provides problem solving support to the team, such as vaccine excursions
Works with management to standardize and train the nursing team on new and revised policies and procedures, including sharing effective process implementation recommendations
Troubleshoots issues, develops relationships, and works closely with CTLs, site providers, and site leadership
Attends required meetings to promote communication, assess and resolve issues, and foster teamwork between departments, such as operations and clinical
Works with management to bridge identified gaps with public health, state/local departments, and other organizations/resources
Requirements
Education/Experience: High school diploma/GED required; bachelor's in nursing preferred. Valid CA RN License required. Valid BLS certification from approved American Health Association provider required upon hire. Two years of registered nursing experience required. Supervisory experience in a health care setting preferred. Valid CA Drivers License and proof of auto insurance required.
Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Knowledgeable about and experience with coaching and mentoring nurses
Ability to travel to NHC clinics in different regions
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent planning and organizational ability
Excellent nursing assessment, judgement, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work with electronic health records
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner.

Salary range: $96,000 to $132,000 depending on experience. This role is eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus.
