RN Supervisor IMC

Shift: Full Time day shift with some rotations to offshift/weekends.

What You Will Do

Supervises and coordinates unit staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives, quality patient care and driving exceptional patient experiencein the Intermediate Care Units ( IMCUs) .

  • Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.

  • Contributes to or performs performance evaluations of staff.

  • Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.

  • Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.

  • Provides input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.

  • Must have the ability and skill set to provide direct patient care if needed.

  • Supports physician and staff satisfaction and engagement.

  • Supports professional development for nursing staff.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS) prefered.

  • Basic Life Support ( BLS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Current Registered Nurse in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN) from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

  • Masters in Nursing ( MSN) prefered.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years as an RN required.
