RN Supervisor IMC

Shift: Full Time day shift with some rotations to offshift/weekends.

What You Will Do

Supervises and coordinates unit staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives, quality patient care and driving exceptional patient experiencein the Intermediate Care Units ( IMCUs) .

Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
Contributes to or performs performance evaluations of staff.
Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.
Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
Provides input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
Must have the ability and skill set to provide direct patient care if needed.
Supports physician and staff satisfaction and engagement.
Supports professional development for nursing staff.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS) prefered.
Basic Life Support ( BLS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Current Registered Nurse in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN) from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
Masters in Nursing ( MSN) prefered.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 5 years as an RN required.
